Here at Larkins' Restaurant we are increasingly asked to support or sponsor local charities and we would love to be able to favourably answer every request. However, this is simply just not possible.

That said, we will look at every request that is put to us in writing or by email using the form below.

Before submitting your request to us, please understand that your 'good cause' must meet the following minimum 'requirements' and that our decision whether or not to help is not open for debate and nor will we give a reason for our decision:-
  • The organisation must be based in St Helens or its immediate environs or be able to show that it helps members of the community in this catchment area or that you are a fundraiser based in this catchment area
  • We will not support Football Teams and the like
  • We will not support events that are raising monies for general funds. It must be for a specific purpose
  • The organisation must be a Registered Charity and you must provide us with your Charity Number
  • The organisation must be willing to allow us to publish their e-logo on this page of our website for a period of 12 months from the date that support is given
We hope you understand our stance

We are delighted to support the St Helens Mecca's charitble activities in 2014 by way of donating a raffle prize for their launch night this week (February).
They are in partnership with the Carers Trust to become Rank Cares. This charity is all about giving back to the community and helping those that care for family members / friends etc and to give them a break from their day to day routine of being a carer.
The local Carers Center is based in St Helens (31-35 Baldwin Street)
All the management and staff would like to wish everyone involved at St Helens Mecca all the very best in their efforts to support this worthy cause

University of the Third Age (U3A) in St Helens was formally launched by the Mayor of St. Helens, Councillor Neil Taylor, on Monday 27th September 2010.

Since then, it has developed into a dynamic, lively and fast-growing U3A, dreaming and looking to the future as confidently as our young people

Larkins' are delighted to have supported the group by providing a raffle prize for fund-raising purposes

Tunza's Pride is a St Helens based Charitable Organisation and Tunza is the character who heads the pride as the charity aims to assists organisations in getting a positive message through to adults as well as their children

Tunza encourages children and young people to think of and help other, less fortunate children & youngsters in need of help and assistance.

Tunza is the Swahili word for "caring for" and the ethos of the group is the care and welfare of everyone in our Community, especially young people and vulnerable children. Its work stretches throughout the St Helens Borough, as well as the greater North West region.

Larkins' is delighted to be associated with this charity as it raises funds via an Awareness Day at NatWest Bank in St Helens on 30 August 2013.  All monies raised will directly benefit the local community via Tunza's recently refurbished Centre in town.

One of our regular customers contacted us to ask for our support for their son, Jack Galvin who is climbing Mt Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the Meningitis Research Foundation.

We were only too happy to donate a small prize for a Quiz Night that Jack was organising and will update this page when we know how it went with a further update when Jack gets back from his climb.

As you can see from the picture, Jack made it! (was there any doubt - this guy is sooooo determined).....update to follow but suffice to say that he raised £3850 against a target of £2650........Well done Jack!

One of our regular customers contacted us to ask if we would be able to support a Charity Night that they were organising in aid of Muscular Dystrophy. Having been told the tale of Clarke Doyle (see the article in the St Helens Star) we were delighted to donate a small prize for the event's raffle. We've just had an update and understand that the event raised over £1400 for this fantastic cause.

Good Luck Clarke!!

March 15th 2013 ...................................two massive Events.........Larkins' Restaurant's first ever Dinner n Jazz Night.......oh and it just happens to be 2013's Comic Relief Day! Wouldn't you have thought that the 'powers that be' would have realised this was a catastrophic clash!

But, rest assured, Larkins' are supporting this great charity.

We're running a raffle with some fabulous Thorntons' Easter Eggs for prizes.

........And it was a fantastic night!

We very nearly sold out and the feedback has been superb.........and what a generous crowd we had in tonight too!

We raised a magnificent £151.00 which we will be sending off to Comic Relief on Monday.

Thank you one and all!!!
